Amos - I may be cynical - but I can't help thinking how much more this story would mean if the cadets had welcomed Mr. Crawford into their ranks and team BEFORE finding out he had the Medal of Honor. To my mind - he is far more the hero due to his role as janitor, and role model regarding work ethics. (Though I am not discounting his actions or that he deserved the honor.)
