Well, actually, Pene and I do monitor the Forum; and we do censor things, but very rarely. Pene didn't delete this one, and neither did I. It doesn't sound like anything we would even consider deleting. We delete personal attacks, Spam, and messages that overload Mudcat. We also delete messages that are posted solely to refresh threads that have no reason to be refreshed. We have ways of dealing with flamers and trolls that we will not discuss publicly (I think the reasons for that are obvious). I suppose there might be a few other types of messages we delete, but they're rare. Max told Pene and me to use our judgment, and we do.
Oh - we also delete messages in HTML practice threads, and in PermaThreads.
Right now, it is possible for JoeClones to delete messages by accident. Pene worked up a way to minimize that risk, but it isn't in place yet. His fail-safe method does work on the experimental version of Mudcat I'm using. That's a good thing, because I'm a bit of a klutz. The JoeClones are more adroit than I, so the risk of accidental deletion is minimal.
