Thread Name: The Quiet Man - Folk Music at Irish Bar in Paris
Subject: The Quiet Man, Paris
Charmion and I got back from Paris the day before yesterday. I had asked for information about folk music in Paris. As usual, Mudcat came through.

Skipjack K8 put me on to a little Irish bar called The Quiet Man, 5 rue des Haudriettes, in the 3rd arrondissement. This turned out to be one of the high points of our trip. They have music every night of the week, including an open session on Saturday, and a singers' session on Tuesday. We sang a lot of songs, and met a lot of new friends. Eoghan Lucey, the owner, is a hell of a good singer with a great repertoire of traditional songs. The music happens downstairs. The bar itself is upstairs (great selection of Irish whiskey).

Highly recommended.
