Bert, glad you're going to take Rick up on his threat offer. I swore I was incapable of learning guitar. I did try it once before, and figured the bum finger made it physically impossible for me to play. Wrong, but I had to admit I might be wrong to get anywhere. Rick has a rare intuitive gift of knowing exactly what you need to learn to get you moving down a path that will actually take you somewhere.

For those of us who are self-taught, it's easy for us to acknowledge someone knows more about an instrument (or any subject) than we do. Ironically, many of us don't consider that they also might be a better teacher than we are. (Personal experience "I've tried everthing - I KNOW I can't do it!" Well, I tried everything I thought of.)
