The "first tuesday" of March (the 5th),
there is an open shantey sing at THe Royal Mile in Wheaton.
Easily accsessible via Metro...Red line, Wheaton stop...
exit right side of station from the train...then walk a couple of blocks uphill to price ave.
and the Mile..look for the big blue awning.
starts at 8, but get there early if'n you actually want to *sit* and eat.
