Thread Name: Lyr Req: Preschool solstice songs
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Preschool solstice songs
Ned Ludd, what does "they do it so I can" mean? yes i did use up and coming pagans, and I suppose I should have been more careful. In the future I will be.

heck-- I grew up with plenty of Christmas songs, and I don't deny these children any of that. Those tunes are the easy ones to find. I loved the yearly showing of Frosty the Snowman (with Burl Ives as narrator) and those silly snowmen gliding across the snow...(does this date me?)

This is simply a celebration of solstice. I want young kids to find more meaning, find it sooner than I did, and look deeper than the typical.

Animaterra , thanks for the Allouette Iselin song, that'll work well. CapriUno and MMArio, I would be really interested in anything you found along those lines. Thanks for your help!
