Pure self-indulgence: the Tibetan thread that started out as an Orient Express thread was extraordinary, though completely different from the Drinking Gourd. I personally learned more from the many people on the Modes thread than I ever dreamed possible. But overall, I think that the most memorable thread was the mystic invisible thread that links Mudcatters together -- as Max says elsewhere, this was an incredible year for Mudcatters meeting in larger and larger numbers, Germany, England, Canada, U.S. The threads that gave me the most pleasure were the ones running up to people meeting, then the explosion when they met, and then the reminiscences, photos, etc. So much fun to read (even if I hardly participated in any), and participate vicariously. It is proof, living proof, of Mudcattery on the march.
