Hi!I'm looking for the lyrics to a song Jerry Jeff Walker performed in the late 60's and, I believe, wrote. I don't know the title, but it started, as I remember, "A soldier rides on a train to Tennessee, and half–asleep he dreams what isn't a dream; with each step of the wheels on steel another face goes by, with each face that he loves he turns and sighs; and he's headed home, he's headed home; back to where it all began, back to find his life again."
I've never been able to find a recording of it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
