I have an Ovation. I plays quite well tho' it's round shape tends to colliide with mine and is very uncomfortable to play standing up. Sitting down it plays fine. The sound is a different story. It sounds dull as and accoustic and it sounds electric as an electric. I give it and every other Ovation I've played a C-.Action wise I've played some great Taks and some dismal Taks . Accoustically they are just Ok, electrically they are as good as their electrics allow them to be. B-/B
I've owned an FG-180 since 1970. And I've played many others in that style from Yamaha including the very best classical I've ever played. I could get by quite well with only that guitar if it weren't for a table saw creating some special needs neck wise for me. When I could play it, it was great. Still sounds great, very balanced D sized sound. Also very affordable at the time I bought it. B+/A
