In truth, kat, I often think about how lovely it would be to spend the holiday with just my own little family, ideally in our pajamas. While in one way it's lovely to see lots of people, it also gets a bit frantic & exhausting---by the time the whole thing's over, the children are completely wiped out, and so are we. The idea of cooking a nice meal, sipping some wine & listening to music is verrrrry appealing.

How many grandchildren do you have? Did you send along lots of loot?
