I've got a Tak solid-body electric, a GZ300, double-cutaway which is a really nice playing critter for stomping out those tunes, with a beautiful sunburst top--never seen another one. Quite affordable it was, about $350 Cdn, used.I don't know about the Tak acoustics, much, but its interesting to hear that Martin sued them, as they did Yamaha in the early 70's. Makes me wonder--who else has Martin sued? Perhaps somebody could compile the "year, make and model" info for us cheapskate collectors.
One can't generalize about Yamahas. Some are good, some are bad, and some (many?) have good sound but neck problems.
Rule of thumb applies, I guess: if its a good-sounding, good-playing guitar and says Yamaha on it, someone will always give you $200 for it without a lot of fuss.
