As we all probably know the problem here lies not with the sellers of these 'historical' items, but with those gullible enough to believe in them. I would be willing to bet that any one of us could take small glass vials, gather some sand from our local beach or lakefront, label them as being sand upon which (insert any historical name here) walked, and somebody somewhere will buy them!! Just go visit your local flea market for an example. I bet I could scoop up our dog's yard deposits and package them with some clever name and find a buyer!!
