I think offing Outlook isn't such a bad idea. The majority of viruses work like a charm in Outlook and not so well in the other Mail programmes. My hubby works for a huge computer company as a computer service engineer and he told me that using Outlook is not good. So I refuse to use it, even though it has some nice features, and I used it in my last job.

Also I read a page of questions and answers to do with BadTrans on the Symantec site and they answered the question about why Norton doesn't actually fix the virus, but just recommends deleting the infected file.
