1. When I clicked submit I got the usual warning about sending nonsecure etcetera, but then nothing to indicate it had been sent. Probably better to return to the Forum when sending is done, similar to the post CFM script. Or at least an announce box saying submission complete.

2. Up to you as the designer but I would think all the candidates could be put on one drop down list which could be used for all the categories in actual voting. But if you don't want to do it in two stages, just count any name entered for the category, this suggestion is irrelevant. In the original thread there are a number of candidates named, for example.
