I saw this thread on the list and thought the same as you! I was at that show during the Celtic Colours fest. I came up from Philly, PA for 1 1/2 weeks to see the shows and do some hiking. I picked the Songwriters Circle gig as one of my 'must-sees' because I wanted to see the great Brian McNeil. Being from the US, I didn't know much about Gordie or Ron Hynes. The show was even better than I had expected. I wound up buying CDs from both Gordie and Ron that night and have been listening to them a lot. There's nothing like a show that introduces you to great talent that you may have otherwise not seen. Did you go to the College afterwards for the all-night fest?
