I've just come across some FREE music software on the Web called SuperJam. It's kind of similar to Band In A Box (that I paid good money for) but in my opinion a whole lot better and easier to use. It requires a very modest PC and Win 3.1. The site is HERE. http://www.izzy.net/~tomsmith/sjam.htmThis software will not suit everyone, but will find some appeal for those who:
· Are learning an instrument and would like some virtual musicians to play along with. You can change tempo and key very easily.
· Want to experiment with some new backing styles for old favourites.
· Are looking for some backing musos for rehearsals.
· Want to see how different chords work for a particular piece of music.
- Like to jam along with different music genres. Folk is not this product's forte.
· Like to try anything that is free.
· Have heard the term 'industrial rock' but don't quite know what it sounds like.
The Website will tell you all about it, but be prepared for the fact that there is no vendor support available. The built in Help is very comprehensive.
I'm still playing with my downloaded version and would be keen to share any feedback or provide any tips.
Regards
John
