Not having attended any festivals last year but quite a number of concerts here in Brussels, my three favourites were Milladoiro (Galicia) (awesome in every way), Ani DiFranco with her recent brass-boosted band (utterly brilliant live performance) and the Gangbe Brass Band (from Benin: marvellous performers and boosted from their normal 11-12 on stage by the arrival mid-concert of another 7 friends from France!). As you can see I am somewhat eclectic in my tastes!
