So THAT explains it----I must be a GENIUS!!!!!

I'd be inclined to think that the amount of mental & physical energy required to keep things neat & tidy would preclude there being enough strength left for any creative endeavours...although as the mother of 3 boys my situation may be rather more extreme than some ;~). IMO, houses should be warm & cosy to qualify as "homes", and that means you're allowed to actually live in them!

And don't even get me started on those Martha Stewart type people who expend their intellectual reources(?) on various clever ways to make crafts out of dryer lint or dog hair.....I've always considered dust a protective coating for fine furniture!
