Played a bunch of Beardsells at the Guitar Summit (were you there?) in Goderich last September where Alan was showing them. Very nice indeed. Great looks, great feel, and best of all, great sound. I like the way he steps outside of convention to build a guitar that still attracts on all levels, at least for me. Also shown was a mandolin, I think it actually belonged to Brian Teheny (Irish trad musician of some note), though it may have been just like Brian's.Thanks Rick, for bringing this up here. Beardsell deserves the attention.
