Thanks for posting this Rick...looks interesting and I'm always fascinated by these odd little innovations which shouldn't but do work.I'm not getting into the GAS argument as I tried to sneak a nice little 20s Lyon and Healy short-neck tenor banjo past Lady McMoo last year without her knowledge. I forgot that she has "radar" specifically for these things, finely honed and tuned over many years with an ex-GAS junkie. I was luckily permitted to acquire said instrument (which incidentally she likes very much now) but the severe tongue-lashing in the interim I got for not being "up front" (I didn't think she'd approve but sinned anyway!) gave me a headache for a week! I suspect that being of Scottish stock, Heather might share some of Lady McMoo's (of Northern Irish stock) qualities in this respect! But I might be wrong?
As 'Spaw intimates, looking forward to seeing a piccie of you and the Beardsell in due course!
Best regards,
mooman
