If I lived in your country I might jump at the offer Lovely dog. And as a previous sight-hound owner I qualify (whippets) though I've never thought of basenjis as being a sighthound like a greyhound, saluki, borzoi,deerhound, wolfhound, Ibizan hound. But I do play fiddle.
Once at a dog show, I think it was the time I visited Crufts, I actually heard a basenji BARK! Just a single yap, but a real bark not a basenji howl.
I had one whippet who was very good with all humans but also ran aggressively at other bitches. She was well trained, but I had to keep an eye on her and order her to my side if I spied a bitch. She also only came in heat once a year, isn't that typical of basenjis?
