There are numerous examples of songs in Mudcat's Digital Tradition that are credited to the wrong songwriters.

Perhaps the most famous example is "Hot Buttered Rum," incorrectly credited to Bryan Bowers rather than Tommy Thompson of the Red Clay Ramblers who is now hospitalized in the final stages of Alzheimer's Disease.

Bowers himself has made several requests over the years to have the mistake corrected but has been ignored.
