It is very heartning to see how some folks that we idolize and look up prove themselves to be just like us, loving the music and all that goes with it. Some time ago I sent an e-mail to Greenhays, the Ritchie family's business place and was VERY surprised to receive a reply the following day from none other than Jean Ritchie herself! It was a great boost to know that someone of her standing in the music community would take time to respond to me. I can imagine what Katlaughing must have thought to hear from Jean Redpath....
