I rather think that what Bobert is after is names of artists who write their own material in a "contemporary" style (whatever that may be ), as opposed to those who play traditional music, but just happen to be alive at present. Am I right ?If that is in fact the case, then I would nominate Jack Williams and Richard Shindell as two of my favorites. I could furnish a much longer list of "contemporary" folk artists whose music I cannot stand.
