Congratulations, Frank: I never could figure out them finger and thumb picks. I always got them hooked in the strings. Sounds like you want to play bluegrass. Old-time three-finger or clawhammer banjo don't require picks. Hey, one of my favorite banjos cost me ten bucks. It had a broken string, though..
