As I understand it, the biggest problem with making Mudcat tax-exempt is that we're not big enough to justify the effort involved in getting tax-exempt status - and maintaining that status would be quite a headache. Mudcat operates on a shoestring - maybe five thousand dollars a year. Getting tax-exempt status is just not worth the bother.
