Thanks, there, David. I wonder if maybe I didn't ask the right question. My understanding of open chords, as opposed to bar chords, is that they're the chords you can play without having to press one finger down to hold all the strings at once. I don't play bar chords yet because my fingers aren't strong enough to do so. I'm working on it, but it still sounds like mush. So if I tune the guitar to an open tuning, I still have to bar something, right? I may not be *there* yet. But it's great to have a goal. Imagine. Wouldn't it be great to play SLIDE guitar? God, that'd be a dream come true ...

I'm not being humble, by the way. Just honestly assessing my skill level.
