Yes I remember some wondeful nights at "The Prospect" - I wish the chorus singing in many present day Folk Clubs was as enthusiastic. The quality of the singing could be pretty good - especially if there were a bunch of Welsh rugby supporters there. One of my favourite memories was a "Zulu Warrier" performed by scotsman in full highland dress. When he removed his kilt, he used his bonnet to retain his last bit of modesty. In the next verse, he threw his arms in the air and his bonnet continued to swing on his "Peggin' Awl" for a full further chorus.

I must look at the "Les Cousins" thread - it got to be quite a fad to pronounce it as if it were french. I'd probably been more likely to go on to "The Troub.", though.
