Upton on Severn (the English side of the Severn)festival is the first weekend in May, which is also a bank holiday weekend. Events which normally happen on the late May holiday (around the last Monday in May) need to be carefully checked, because it's Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee year, and the festivities have occasioned an extra day's holiday on Tuesday 4 June with the Monday bank holiday slipping to Monday 3 June.
