Heard what I believe was "turning of the year" sung by probably Gordon Bok on midnight special. A friend was trying to remember lyrics and insists she's missing a verse? I can't remember all but part of it is

To friends I've had and foes I've had and those we hold most dear; We'll lift a glass to lad and lass at turning of the year.

I vaguely recall words were written by someone else and I may be mixing two songs entirely. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Elaine.
