Wow ,I certainly DID not plan for this request to go this way!!!I guess being a racist is a state of mind and being one the least racist people you would ever meet,I guess i just never had any intentions of going this way.As for the content for this particular song i do not see the racial content at all, at least in the version i heard briefly,As for other content ,shootin someone with a "44" is certainly not whatI profess of being appropriate,but this is just an "old time song" Many other songs of the time period have similar lyrics ,,i.e. jessie james ,john hardy,Mole in the ground ,,,and the list goes on and on.FOR THE record for those of you concerned,My daughter lives in an Wholesome,non-racist and Christian environment and we happen to like old time music.My apologies to any who took this request for more than it was.For those of you who prejudged this request,mmmm ..what is racism but merely prejudging.
