The 4 part harmony version you remember must be the one recorded by Swan Arcade in 1987. Recently re released by fellside (www.felside.com) on 'round again'. checkout the versions of the Kinks' 'Lola' and Elvis Costello's 'shipbuilding'. Some great trad material too and wonderful harmonies.
