Thread Name: BS: Yesterday
Subject: RE: BS: Yesterday
You will note that I did not contribute to the alleged Celtic/Brito-centric leanings of this forum by pointing out that yesterday was the anniversary of two events.

I think it might be constructive for me to point out (since I was a part of the discussion being alluded to here) that the complaint wasn't because of people pointing out things that are Celtic/Brito-centric. It was the criticisms being leveled at people who didn't share this knowlege of things that are Celtic/Brito-centric. To me, this seems like very important distinction.

And I think that taking note of it could help to promote good feelings all around by encouraging (quite rightly) those who celebrate their Celto/Britishness to continue doing so, and helping others to celebrate and enjoy them as well, while at the same time, allowing people not from that (those) cultures the space to feel good about whatever they're familiar with. Does this sound in any way unfair to anybody?
