Yes, change them. Even solid (plain) nylon loses it's brilliance quickly. Obviously the more you play, the more often you need to change them. But even if the guitar is kept in the case, unless you lower the pitch greatly, the strings will need replacing in 3-4 months. Just my experience. CHEERS, Bob
