Rick Fielding's concert provided the excuse for a wonderful evening of singing together. To all the folks who try to gather in a chat room--to quote the Berrymans, "It's better than that!" As Ferrara said, when we had to choose between singing and chatting, we decided to sing, because you can't do that in a chat room. Not that there wasn't a lot of chatting between songs. Ferrara played her Macarthur harp/zither and sang some Irish songs, and a version of "The Death of Queen Jane" to make you weep at its beauty. We all posed for pictures, and suffered through candid shots. Bill D sang "The Key of R," but he couldn't remember the author's name, so Barbara (Blessings)'s name was invoked--she knows who wrote the song.

For any of you who didn't make it to DC but wished you had, we'll make sure there's another chance at the FSGW Getaway on Columbus Day Weekend in October. Details at www.fsgw.org.
