Subject: RE: BS: postering etiquette
I'd have thought with a ceili you'd probably be using different places for the posters. I mean those walls and shop windows covered with dreary repetitive posters for gigs run by the kind of people who'd pull down other people's posters - but would the people you'd be hoping for in a ceili be too likely to even look at them.

I'd have thought there'd be shops of various sorts who'd be happy to stick a ceili poster in the window, and that's more the way to go.

Mind, in the Mudcat, rockabilly would count as folk I'd imagine... In fact I think out in the big world there are lots of people who'd see it that way, and plenty of sessions where both types of music will happily coexist. In fact I was at one on Sunday, and a good time was had by all. It's not the music that's the problem, you've run up against someone running a neat little protection racket cum smalltime postering agency.
