Which is the problem with gong shows. It is all a popularity contest among (hopefully) talented musicians.

Which tells you nothing, beyond the fact that Ian Anderson must have had something to do with it. He's all for whatever selling out of the folk it takes for the music to be recognized by the masses he loves to despise as tasteless (because they disagree with his tastes).

They are currently trashing Irish folk babe Cara Dillon, for instance, over there in ukmf right now, and singing the praises of English folk babe Kate Rusby. Wonder what that's all about, considering they are two sides of the same coin. Its about folk babes, not anything to do with integrity OR music.
