Snowdon is lovely, I was walking round Cader Idris not so long ago..... take a good pair of walking boots, be prepared to get wet, and don't be stupid. The annual rainfall is huge, and even on the finest days, the clouds can come down and swamp you in a matter of minutes! I got up one morning, looked out over Cader, and saw it was blue skies and beautiful. I went to the bathroom and 10 minutes later Cader had vanished under a deep blanket of fog. Mind you, I still thought it was beautiful and went and walked on it anyway... with a good map, company and sensible boots.

If you go to Dolgellau, go to the cafe opposite the bus stop in the main square, it does the most amazing breakfasts!
