The trick of pronouncing 'Ll' that works for me is to sound the syllable 'Le' whilst expelling a breath at the same time ....Let me know if it works for you to.
Similarly 'Dd' is pronounced as the English would utter 'The'.
Incidentally, there is also a single 'l' sound as in the placename 'Beddgelert' [literally Gelert's grave - he was the faithful hound that protected the Prince's sleeping son against a wolf attack, but was mistakenly killed because he and the baby were covered in the wolf's blood.]
