Thanks McGrath
Will ye no come back again, is often played by the pipe bands at firefighter's funerals over here. I had the honnor to be present at John Tierney's funneral the other week in Staten Island. The car I was in was several cars behind Ladder 9, and the engine that bore his coffin. Folks came out on their porches and the stopped traffic - everyone had the same stricken look as the motorcade passed. His father teaches Gaelic with my friend Daithi. He was burried in a firefighter's section of the graveyard. Most of his row died on the 11th. The grave next to his, a photo of a firefighter, holding his son, was taped to the gravestone. On the photo was written, "Daddy, I turned 6 today and I love you." It is terrible to think of how many children have to go to the grave yard to tell the big moments of their lives to their parents these days, here and in Afganistan.
Peace
