Jon, I don't know if you're new to the internet or not, but I find that the rhythms here in the Mudcat, at least, are different than in a conversation in the 3D world. Most of the time, most people won't get a response. That's more the norm than an aberration. It just takes some getting used to. And since the conversations don't happen in anything resembling real time, you might get responses, but it could be days, months, and even years later.

But you should never assume that not getting a response means that nobody is paying attention to you, because that is frequently not the case. Although it sometimes is the case, but it happens to all of us at one time or another.
