When called upon, I used to interpolate the following line (of my own creation):

"I drank a lot of Ripple wine,,
and smoked a lot of weed,
I'm goin' back to Shady Grove ,
to find the girl I need,

and I would slip this in as well:

Ev'rybody's in the trees,,
feeding pigeons on a limb ,
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here,
All the pigeons gonna run to him.,

I had to do something to stretch it out--at a bluegrass tempo, you run out of lyrics fast--
