Anthropoid Girl
Dan Warren
Up on the moon
There is a little quonset hut
Where a man lives with his dog
Moondog
They take a bucket
And they go collect the cheese
That they sell to the people on the earth
For sandwiches
He gets so lonely
Because his only friend is a rock
He goes to picnics and he
Brings it tea and talks to it
He says "Rock, I'd love to love you
But you're just too igneous for me
And besides all that
I'm in love with an anthropoid girl"
And my house it is a
Little quonset hut
Where I live with my dog
He's a cat named Claude
We take a bucket and we
Go collect the bread
That grows in the bushes
In the field near our house
Take it to the market and we
Sell it to the people
Who will sell it to the people
Who will eat it with the cheese
You're just too sedimentary
Across the sea
There is a little quonset hut
Where a man lives with his dog
They take a bucket full of
Seeds into the forest
And they plant them in the undergrowth
In huge piles of humus
In a couple of months
They grow into the huts
That they sell to the moon
And to the USA
He gets so lonely
Because his garden is full of rocks
He goes on picnics
Beneath the quonset tree
And he talks to it
He says "Quonset tree I'd love to love you
But I have to make a house out of you
Somwhere I can live with an anthropoid girl"
