You figured it out. I went downstairs to put together a pre-fab pantry cabinet, and realized that in order for it to fit firmly against the wall I would have to remove the baseboard. So, I went out into our attached garage to find a hammer. (We moved here to Derby, CT last Spring, and the garage is the one place where everything is still stacked, floor to ceiling.) Sure enough, there was my Grandfather's hammer crying "Use me, Use me!!! I didn't see either of my other "good hammers" around, and I had to myself. So I picked up my grandfather's hammer and it worked fine.

And yes, Jim Dixon kindly created a new thread for me while I was downstairs deconstructing the baseboard with my Grandfather's hammer.
