The Rolling Stones are the ultimate example of a band that peaked artistically thirty years ago, and are only in it for the money. They are either a corporation, an institution, or an abomination depending on your level of tolerance.

Roger McGuinn is an opposite example. He peaked in rocknroll early, and now has devoted himself to studying and preserving his first love...traditional music.
