My understanding is that all the UK curlers were in fact Scots, so I'm glad they won. Kind of like an all-Native-American lacrosse team would be. (For those who don't know about these things, lacrosse is the only "major" sport played in the US which actually originated there.) And from what I could see, it's not just heaving those rocks back and forth for hours, but heaving each one so it stops just where you want it to, 90 feet away! I found the curling interesting, but I wish they had had better commentators, who could have explained more about tactics and strategy and techniques: why the sweepers sweep, and why sometimes they don't, what the shouted signals mean, etc. The commentators we had on NBC were very good, I'm sure, for those who already understood the game. But even still, I'll watch curling over golf, any day.
