Subject: The Roadrunner From Hell
Last Tuesday I had Roadrunner installed - sort of. The work order did not have a Login or Password and there was a fire drill at Time-Warner ( I kid you not) so the cable guy couldn't complete the installation. He gave me a number to call to get the password/login and complete the installation myself - when the drill was over. Unfortunately...multiple error messages later I discovered that not only did Roadrunner not work, I could no longer respond to messages on my AOL account or open links anywhere. So I called for service and was put on hold TWICE for 30 minutes. I then called Customer Service and demanded a live body in my home to get this sthing working. I got three. My new neighbors must think I am running a brothel. All these strange and attractive young men coming and going. Anyway, they worked for 45 minutes on Friday and had to quit when 5 0'clock came around. I can use AOL but Outlook has a virus which accompanies every email I send - an email from me with no title which when opened says I_AM_SORRY and offers a download. I can't browse - they replaced Internet Explorer with a newer version which refused to work then could not re-install the old version. Every page I opne is followed by a script error and question "Do you want to keep running script on this page?" If I say "YES" it reappears. If I say "No" it goes away. What the F**K is going on. AOL.exe is gone. among other things. The technician says the problem is my computer. If I cancel Roadrunner, I am worse off than when I was using AOL. Their supervisor is supposed to call me on Monday. HELP!!!!
