Yikes, guys; We just got RR installed Friday afternoon, having had it up to the ears with the agonizingly slow, sometimes inaccessable during peak hours internet connection via our dial-up ISP, not to mention the increasingly frequent "disconnects". Others who have gone cable have had nothing but positive feedback about it, and it's been around for about 3 years now, so it was time to go for it. the price is roughly the same as the DUN ISP (Internet Service Provider) plus the dedicated phone line we had for it, which will soon be disconnected. So far it has sped up the surfing noticeably. We are having a bit of an interesting time setting up E-mail during the transition; the guy who had our e-dress before us (a certain "Jason Clarke") still had his inbox full of spam and his/"our" homepage up, which has been interesting, but the techies are working on it. I havn't had to "hold" much more than 5 minutes for them, which is better than GWI where we usually had to leave voice mail and hope that they would call back the same day.Gee, Sins; the young fellow who was here installing us on Friday got a phone call on his cellular and had to book it out of here around 3:45 PM; I wonder if he was one of the "swat-team" they sent to try and do your damage-control? Was one of them a mid-20's redhead with glasses? I was quite impressed with him and will request him specificly whenever we need tech service here again. I like to work with people I'm familiar & comfortable with. Your problems seem to be an anomoly, and I hope you can hang in there with 'em and give them a chance to work things out - which can be difficult over the weekend.
