A song that really grabbed me recently is a rendition of "My Bonnie" which is sung by Laura Smith on the CD "Fire in the Kitchen".. The line which grabbed my attention goes something like this.." Soon there will be no differance between the land and the water, I can walk out on the ice to places I've never seen. When I get as far as I can go, I'll turn and throw my cares over my shoulder, along with your memory, and let them float down the Gulf Stream."
Having spent a winter or two in the Canadian Maritimes, I could picture someone doing just that.
If you haven't heard Laura Smith.. Give that CD a listen. What an amazing voice.
