I agree with you about the Centre line, but what would be even better for NHL Hockey would be to use Olympic size ice surfaces. That give more room for the skilled players to manouver past the goons, it would open up the game for better passing plays, it would add more speed to the game.

Of course, the red line might go away. The ice surfaces will never be enlarged as it would mean removing 3 or 4 rows of seats @ about $200 each per game.

It's going to be tough to watch an NHL game in the near future, isn't it?
